Apprenticeship! Apprenticeship is the idea of being a “student” of Jesus. It’s something that happens when we gather as a church family on Sunday mornings and also as we study the Bible individually. However, we also believe that one of the most effective settings for this to happen is in community, smaller groups of people who gather to study the Bible together, encourage one another, and “do life together.”
At First Baptist Church, our Life Group ministry is a bit different than other churches, owing in part to our urban location and our focus on local missions. As such, there’s something for everyone! Looking to go in-depth in your study of the Bible? We’ve got that! Want to join a local service team? We’ve got that too! Looking for a place to “belong” as you interact with other people and make new friends over a cup of coffee? We’ve got you covered. There are so many ways for people of all ages to connect at FBC!

Life Groups at FBC
Following is a list of some of our life groups that via Zoom or in-person for Bible study, prayer, and/or service involvement. To learn more about how to connect with one of these groups, simply contact the church office. Each Life Group is open to adults of all ages.
The Path: Bible Reading and Conversation – Wednesdays at 12:00 pm and Sundays at 10:00 am – A weekly gathering for those interested in reading through the entire Bible together and encouraging one another along the way – Meets in-person on Sunday in the Dining Room. Wednesday is Zoom only.
