As we all continue to adjust to a new way of life these days, FBC wants you to know that we are here for you and your family. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about how to participate in church even though we can’t physically gather in the same location.
- How can I find the service?
We will live-stream the service every Sunday at 11am on our Facebook page. The service will also be posted on Sunday afternoons, by 2pm, on our YouTube channel. See you this Sunday!
- How can I still participate in the service?
Even though you are worshiping from home, feel free to sing along, take notes, and limit distractions. When the preacher asks for an amen, feel free to respond with an uplifting comment if you’re watching on Facebook. One benefit of the current situation is you’re welcome to watch the service in your jammies with a hot cup of coffee!
- How can I follow along using sermon notes?
Sermon notes will be posted on our Facebook page, right before the service, as JPG files. Feel free to pull them up on your screen or print them and follow along!
- What if I want to participate in a Bible study?
Every Wednesday, there will be an online sermon-based Bible study at 7pm. If you want to participate, just contact us. We will be using the questions at the end of the sermon notes as a guide. This is a great opportunity to see your friends from church, pray for one another, and dive deeper into the Word. You can connect using a web-cam, tablet, smartphone, or even by dialing in through a landline.
- What if I have a praise or prayer requests?
Scripture teaches us to pray without ceasing! If you have a praise or prayer request that you would like to share with our pastoral team, please just contact us.
- How can I give to FBC?
If you regularly give in-person on Sundays, you can still give from home. Feel free to mail your offering to the church (909 SW 11th Ave., Portland, OR 97205). Or, you can give online through our website.
- What about my kids?
Although our regular youth and children’s ministries are not meeting in person at this time, we are making some great content available for your family through our Facebook page and through email. For questions, just contact us.
