Summer Home Groups Forming
If you are interested in hosting a Summer Home Group
in your home, please contact Pastor David Wheeler this week. We will be studying Ephesians.
All-Church Picnic at Oaks Park
Sunday, July 25 - You are all invited to our picnic at Oaks Park immediately following the 11:00am service. You’ll have excellent food, a casual setting, ride bracelets and a free raffle.
Tickets will be sold only on the 25th at the park. Ticket cost is $6.00 per person or $18.00 per family. Children 3 and under are free.
August Summer Camps at Arrah Wanna for primary school, elementary school, middle school and high school. There is also a September 3-7 adult and family camp. For more information: camparrahwanna.org.

Compassion Clinic
Saturday, September 18, at the Stott Athletic Center on the Portland State University campus, a coalition of churches and ministries, including First Baptist Church, will put on a free medical/dental fair, or Compassion Clinic, for our downtown neighbors.
Senior Pastor Dr. David Wheeler and former First Baptist Church member Melissa Nelson are co-directors of this event. To find out more, and to register as a volunteer if you wish, you may go to www.downtowncompassion.org .
Historic Stained-Glass Window Note Cards
to Benefit the Youth Stained-glass window note cards are available for sale to help meet the goal of a fundraiser for our church youth. Stop at the Welcome Center to obtain a
box of 10 cards, for a donation of $12 to the youth fund.
The windows were photographed by Rev. Norm Lawson and the description of each window was given by our
archivist Jim Chellis.
Downtown Fellowship
will take a break over the
summer and start up again in the fall.
