America for Christ Offering each Sunday in March. Learn about this offering each Sunday in March through the bulletin inserts, speakers and DVD presentations during the services. Offering envelopes for your use will be in the pews.

Wednesday Night Dinner and Program

Wednesday, March 17 at 6:30pm. “Will Rising Seas Inundate Coastal Oregon Towns?” Julie Fry is an assistant professor at Reed College whose research goals are to better understand the connections between urban air pollution, natural vegetation and regional climate. This will be a PowerPoint presentation with many nice visuals, and she will provide opportunities for discussion.

Intergenerational St. Patrick’s Day Dance

Wednesday, March 17 from 7:00 to 8:15pm.

We’ll have live music provided by the band “Fiddle Sticks with Gravy” along with large circle dances and our own Merica Fooks “calling the dances.” Learn the simple dance steps
before each dance begins.

Downtown Fellowship

Thursday, March 18 at 10:30am. Duncan Neilson will be speaking on “The Art and Adventure of Bird Photography.” Neilson joined the Portland Audubon Society in the 5th grade and started accompanying his uncle who was a landscape photographer on photographic expeditions around that time. A wonderful PowerPoint presentation will be shown during the program.

Stay for a hot, tasty lunch served at 11:45am for only $3.00.

Friday, March 19 - Trailblazers vs. Washington Wizards

The Membership Committee introduces the next fellowship activity for FBC basketball fans at the Rose Garden. Tickets will be available for $19 and may be obtained from Dick Smith or Norm Lawson. You may send a check to First Baptist Church with “Trailblazer Tickets” on the memo line and they will be sent to you. Twenty-eight tickets are available.
